Whether it’s a leisurely breakfast for two, or a place to relax with a good book, the front porch feels both elegant and inviting with a restful palette of pale blues, greens and neutrals. It’s about a seamless blend of the past and the present – white wicker furniture evokes a feeling of times past but is married with the present by the addition of whimsical pillows and a contemporary lamp.  Rugs pamper the feet and create a tranquil retreat while anchoring both seating areas with a traditional pattern.  A modern privacy screen of wooden slats gives a secure, sheltered feeling.  Sheer linen curtains block the sun but let in the cooling breezes.
